Trust Administration

The creator of a trust (known as a grantor) appoints a person or institution (the Trustee) to manage that person’s affairs upon death, disability, or resignation. The Trustee must be a responsible steward of funds and make distributions to beneficiaries by the terms of the trust.

    Trusted Third-Party

Managing a trust can be time consuming, and sometimes it makes more sense to hire a third-party to handle all the details. Averett Family Law can help you administer a trust for an incapacitated beneficiary or a loved one who has passed away.

When appropriate, one of our attorneys can serve as the Trustee. In these cases, we work with you to develop and execute a comprehensive plan to follow your wishes for the trust funds.
