Driven. Compassionate. A family man. Triple Tarheel (we had to throw that in). Alex French joined the firm in early 2018 as an associate in the firm’s family law and probate practices. As a father, former educator, and child of divorced parents, you can trust Alex to understand your perspective and be a zealous advocate for you.
“I understand how complex life transitions can be. From my perspective of divorce as a child, to seeing the impact of unhappy or unstable family situations as an educator, I feel it is my role to support my clients’ interests and values. I hope I can help make things easier on other families.”
Alex grew up in Winston-Salem. After graduating from college, he taught high school in Durham and Winston-Salem. After teaching several years, Alex applied to the UNC School of Law where he won the Chancellor’s Merit Award. In his second year he acquired a passion for family law and spent his third year working for the UNC Domestic and Sexual Violence Clinic.
